The ideal candidate leads and coordinates the development and implementation of a proactive environment, health and safety program including job hazard assessment, occupational injuries, accidents investigation and building safety audits in line with Environment, Hygiene and Safety corporate and regional policies, standards and local regulations.

Resposabilities:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law; 
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions;
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
• Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Project Manager and the Chief Operation Officer
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures;

Qualifications:

• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
• Minimum of 3 years proven experience as safety manager
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines;
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Good knowledge and understanding of data analysis and risk assessment
