We are looking for a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Proposal & Project Engineer to support the full project lifecycle, from tender and proposal preparation through execution and commissioning for our headquarter in Hungary. Job Description;

• Analyze client RFQs, tenders, and technical specifications
• Develop technical solutions and system configurations for BESS projects
• Perform system sizing, component selection, and preliminary design
• Prepare technical and commercial proposal packages
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, sales, project management)
• Communicate with suppliers for quotations and technical clarifications
• Participate in client meetings and technical presentations
• Support contract negotiations from a technical perspective
• After project award, support or lead execution, installation, commissioning, and site activities
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, safety standards, and client requirements
• Provide technical documentation and reporting throughout project lifecycle

As for the skills and experience we are looking for;

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in renewable energy, power systems, or energy storage projects
• Flexible to travel frequently if required
• Strong understanding of; Battery energy storage systems, Power electronics and inverters and Grid integration principles
• Experience in technical proposal or tender preparation is highly preferred
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and single-line diagrams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project support
• Experience with utility-scale renewable or EPC projects
• Knowledge of grid codes and international standards (IEC, IEEE, UL etc.)
• Experience with cost estimation, BOQ preparation, or bid evaluation
• Project execution or commissioning experience
• PMP or equivalent project certification is a plus
