Job Summary;

The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Engineering department of EPC projects. This includes developing the outsourcing strategy for engineering design, coordinating with the internal engineering team for review of the engineering design by sub contractor(s), and responsible for inter discipline checks of the engineering design.

Qualifications;

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 20 years working experience, 5 years in a Engineering Manager position in an Engineering Consulting Company or Engineering department in a EPC company into Power plants ( either in CCPP, CHP, Biomass based power plant, Waste to Energy Plant)
  • Deep knowledge of Power Plant systems and process for either CCPP, CHP, Biomass based power plant or Waste to Energy plants is essential.
  • Knowledge of QAP documents is essential.
  • Knowledge of MS word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD.

 Job Description;

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including technical experts from Project kick off to commerial close out stage.
  • Develop outsourcing strategies for engineering design for smooth and cost effective execution of the project.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the Project executions for all engineering / technical issues.
  • Initates and folow up the technical clarifications with the Client.
  • Plan and manage the Engineering development process, including timelines, and milestones to ensure timely submission of high-quality deliverables from engineering sub contractor.
  • Lead the Techo-commercial eveluation of bids for procurement of equipments.
  • Plan and manage the internal resources for review of Engineering deliverables including Vendor engineering documents, for timely submission to Client, for their review and approval, as per the agreed deleverable schedule.
  • Lead the comment resolution process on the submitted deliverables with Client/ OE (if any).
  • Support in prepration of general engineering documents, including commissioning procedures, Performance test procedures etc, for the Project.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with the outsourcing and development of the design engineering, including local engineering requirements (if any).
