We are looking for a Mechanical Tender Engineer having the following qualifications to be assigned to our company in Madrid. If you think you meet the expectations and this role is a precious opportunity for your career path, do not hesitate to apply!


Job Description:

  • Lead and manage the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for industrial EPC tenders
  • Review client RFQs (Requests for Quotation), project specifications, and P&IDs to define the mechanical scope of work,
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity surveys, or checking quantity requirements,
  • Develop accurate material take-offs (MTOs) and cost estimations for mechanical equipment and installation works,
  • Issue inquiries to local and international suppliers, evaluate technical bids, and negotiate commercial terms to optimize tender competitiveness, keeping records and archiving,
  • Identify technical risks, regulatory constraints (Spanish building codes/industrial safety), and value engineering opportunities during the bidding phase.
  • Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project,
  • Preparing technical documentation for the bids, such as preliminary work schedules, manpower histograms, execution plans etc which will support the commercial tender,
  • Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment between the tender proposal and execution reality.


As for the skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Ingeniería Industrial specializing in Mechanics),
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering, cost estimation, or proposal engineering within the EPC sector,
  • Prior experience in projects involving cleanrooms, dry rooms, complex HVAC systems, or chemical processing plants is highly valued,
  • Deep understanding of industrial mechanical systems (piping networks, industrial ventilation, thermal systems),
  • Ability to analyse project requirements, technical specifications, drawings,
  • Familiarity with Spanish industrial regulations and European engineering standards,
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills,
  • Eager to learn,
  • Strong communication skills to communicate with suppliers
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is a must
  • Proficient in using Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD
