As for the skills and experience we are looking for:


  • Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum 10 years related experience, at least 7 years in a relevant tendering capacity dealing with construction projects involving different equipment manufactured in accordance with international standards.
  • Experienced in value engineering and cost savings
  • Strong understanding of all electrical, strong, and weak currents, as they relate to the construction of projects
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of tendering processes, policy, and systems.
  • Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Experience in project management is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and polished presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD
  • No obstacle to travel

 


Job Description:


  • Pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.      
  • Analysis and evaluation of the technical specifications of the tender specifications
  • Coordinate with the project team to obtain the necessary information to facilitate for tender submission
  • Reviewing project requirements, technical specifications and drawings, obtaining required details
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity surveys or checking quantity requirements
  • Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labor and time
  • Finding suppliers and communicating in accordance with project requirements and obtaining offers and required information for tenders
  • Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project
  • Preparing preliminary work schedules for tenders
  • Assist the Head of Tender in identifying and monitoring the main contract risks and developing the contract management execution strategy
